Built in 1911, Villa Ahlström was originally the home of company director Bertil Ahlström.
Erected by Lake Pyhäjärvi, the stone villa, with its fusion of late art nouveau and classical features, was designed by architect Jarl Eklund.
The gardens surrounding the villa were designed by landscape architect Paul Olsson. Its beautiful natural surroundings and well-maintained parkland and gardens are typical of the mansion’s historical milieu.
Boasting furniture designed by Finnish design company Artek, the villa’s elegant sauna premises can be hired by the hotel guests.
Currently, the building houses the Pyhäjärvi Institute.
